There’s a new boss at Marseille.
The 25-year-old, who was named Ligue 2 coach for the first time in August, has been tasked with revamping Marseille’s squad for the coming campaign.
L’Équipe reported the Frenchman is the new boss of the club after a two-year stint under new head coach Gerard Houllier, but the club have yet to confirm the news.
In a press conference on Wednesday, Mauricio Pochettino was asked about the future of the squad.
“Yes, I think so.
I have to be honest,” he said.
Pochettino also confirmed that the team will have a new kit supplier, and that he is looking to add more players to the squad in the coming months. “
We will see what happens and what the club has to say when it comes.”

Puerto Rico’s coach has had a very positive start to the season with his men currently just two points above the relegation zone and in the bottom three of La Liga.
According to L’ÉQUIPE, the current squad is not the only one to be revamped, and it has been reported that Mauricio has already secured another top-class player for the team, as well as a midfielder who has a contract with the club.
As the season draws to a close, Pochettinos future in Marseille is unclear.
Marseille finished fifth last season, with only four points from their opening 10 games, and Pochettos future at the club is unknown.
